Privacy Policy

Effective date: 1 June 2026

Streemly (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a personal service operated by Nathan Collins that brings your Twitch and YouTube live streams, video uploads, and chat together in a single dashboard. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

Streemly is provided to individuals who connect their own Twitch and/or Google (YouTube) accounts. By using Streemly you agree to the practices described here.

Who we are

Streemly is operated by Nathan Collins as an individual. For any privacy questions or requests, contact us at me@nathancollins.dev.

Information we collect

We only collect the data needed to operate the dashboard. When you sign in with Google or Twitch, those providers share information with us, and we read certain data from their APIs on your behalf:

  • Account identifiers and profile basics: your name, email address, profile image, and the provider account IDs returned by Google and Twitch when you sign in.
  • OAuth tokens: the access and refresh tokens issued by Google and Twitch, which let Streemly call their APIs on your behalf. These are stored so you stay signed in and connected.
  • YouTube data: the channels you are subscribed to, recent uploads from those channels, and live-broadcast status, used to populate your dashboard. When you choose to, we also act in YouTube live chat on your behalf using the youtube.force-ssl scope — posting chat messages you write, and, where you hold moderator rights, deleting messages and timing out or banning users. These write actions only ever happen in response to an action you take.
  • Twitch data: the channels you follow, your live-stream status, the channels you moderate, and chat messages, used to populate your dashboard and to let you send or moderate chat where you have permission.
  • Session and technical data: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, plus standard request logs (such as IP address and timestamps) generated by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

How we use your information

We use the information described above to:

  • Authenticate you and keep you signed in.
  • Display your followed/subscribed channels, their live status, and recent uploads.
  • Show merged live chat and, when you choose, send chat messages, delete messages, or time out and ban users in YouTube and Twitch live chat as your own identity.
  • Maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the service.

Google user data and Limited Use

Streemly’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically: we only use Google user data to provide and improve the user-facing features described in this policy; we do not use it for advertising; we do not sell it; and we do not transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with appropriate notice. We do not allow humans to read your Google user data unless we have your consent for specific items, it is necessary for security or to comply with law, or the data has been aggregated and anonymised.

How your information is stored and shared

Streemly is hosted on Cloudflare’s developer platform, and your data (including account records and OAuth tokens) is stored in Cloudflare’s database and processed by Cloudflare Workers. Requests to Twitch and Google/YouTube are made directly to those providers’ APIs.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share data only with the infrastructure and platform providers needed to run the service (Cloudflare), with Google and Twitch as required to provide the connected features, and where required by law.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data and tokens for as long as your account is connected. You can disconnect a provider at any time from your profile page, which removes the associated tokens. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at me@nathancollins.dev. You can also revoke Streemly’s access directly from your Google Account permissions page and your Twitch connections settings.

Security

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including transport encryption (HTTPS) and storing tokens within our hosting provider’s managed database. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Cookies

We use a single, essential session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Children

Streemly is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights

Streemly is operated from the United Kingdom and we handle personal data in line with UK data protection law (UK GDPR). Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at me@nathancollins.dev. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner’s Office).

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Significant changes may be highlighted within the service.
